Abstract

The article discusses the study on ovarian cancer pathobiology. It notes that incidence rate patterns of serous ovarian carcinoma (SOC) were analyzed using the age-adjusted data from the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program from 1990-2005. Results revealed that before the age of 40, the age-adjusted incidence rate ratios of high to low grade SOC were <1.0 while the age-specific incidence rates were greater for low grade SOC.
