Abstract: The article offers a look at some key constitutional issues that the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to consider in fall 2009. These include the release of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba as President Barack Obama promised its closure by January 2010, race-conscious decisions in cases about education, employment and voting, and same-sex marriage. Other issues deal with teenagers' rights, gun rights and death penalty.
