Abstract
- Part I of the book "Water in Nepal," by Dipak Gyawali is presented. It highlights water as a physical resource which is abundant in Nepal. It discusses the physical characteristics of Nepali water and the nature of the hydrology of the country's rivers such as the Himalayan rivers. It further discusses the task of understanding the characteristics of water by setting up and annual water balance. It explores Nepal's physiography, climate and precipitation.
