In this article, the author offers views on the relationship between the admissions office and student and the vendor and the admissions director in the recruitment of students. He relates his own personal experience as a former admissions counselor and of how he realized the parallel roles of vendors with admissions directors. He considers such parallel relationship for college admissions as a multifaceted business.
