Abstract
- Chapter 1 of the book "The Herculaneum Pottery: Liverpool's Forgotten Glory" is presented. It describes the growth and development of Herculaneum pottery in Liverpool, England in 18th and early 19th century. Details about the manufacturing, design and trading of delftware, porcelain ware, creamware and pearlware are provided. The contributions of potter Josiah Wedgwood to the growth of Staffordshire potteries and Liverpool's significance as a potting center during the period are also discussed.
