Abstract

The article discusses the ethical aspect of the research involving the creation of human-animal interspecies somatic cell nuclear transfer (iSCNT) embryos. It states that scientists may be able to create and study human embryonic stem cells lines through iSCNT. According to some researchers, many more stem cells will be available for research if scientists are able to transfer human genetic material into enucleated animal eggs to produce human stem cells.
