Skogen som lekplats.

The aim of this article is to analyze how nature resources are used in children's fantasy play in nature environments. In a preschool with an outdoor profile children were observed with video camera in the forest nearby the preschool. The result suggests that nature material is used in play to reproduce themes from the world outside preschool but that the material also invites to play themes where the special character of the environment is integrated, like animal role play. The unspecific character of the nature material requires negotiations about the meaning of the nature objects used to represent artefacts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
