Europe split over best way forward for traffic systems.

The article reports that a plan to launch an intelligent transport systems (ITS) across Europe has been suspended due to the debate over the best way to co-ordinate adoption. The Department for Transport (DfT) in Great Britain is a leader in ITS. It has worked with 60 local authorities to help them introduce urban traffic management and control systems that use GPS technology and cameras to evaluate flows of traffic.
