Abstract

The article discusses the findings of a survey on the impact of recession on IT-related business activities, conducted by recruitment consultancy Harvey Nash. According to the survey, the recession has changed the way that businesses think about IT with only 6% of CIOs saying they had not changed any of their activities. The survey found that being communicative with staff and the board, and being transparent in strategy were all considered to be vital tools for a CIO running an IT department.
