Abstract
- The article presents the study which compared the abundance and composition of feeding guilds of plantivores, benthivores, amphipod-shrimp feeders, crabivores, echinoderm feeders, among others along the continental shelf of the northeast part of the U.S. for four decades. The study is said to have examined changes in guild structure to identify whether there have been significant changes found with the abundance of functional guilds within the said fish community. It also highlights the significant implications of the study for conservation and management of marine biological diversity.
