Abstract

The article offers tips for hunting, cleaning and preserving the turkeys in Canada. It is stated that after killing the bird, the first step is to ensure that it is dead, then attach the tag, marked with date and time, to its leg. The birds need to be put into a blaze-orange bag designed to transport birds home as legally they cannot be cleaned at the hunt site. The kill needs to be reported to the ministry. It is important to decide how the turkey will be cooked prior to cleaning it.
