Abstract
- The article focuses on the fact that the Cinémathèque française, the French film library, started making its collection of glass slides for magic lanterns available online since February 2009. The article explains that these slides were created between the 18th century and the 1920s and represent the ancestor of modern cinema, allowing to project on a screen images painted or printed on glass.
