- Chapter 6 of the book "Disability Studies in Education: Readings in Theory and Method," Vol. 3, edited by Susan L. Gabel and Scot Danforth is presented. It presents a critical analysis of public school programs for students considered to have emotional- behavioral disorders (E/BD) in the U.S. It outlines the humanism concept of Karl Marx on ethical and economic theories used to present a critique of the common levels system of managing E/BD programs.
