Abstract

Chapter Two of the book "Where Do We Go From Here? Issues in the Sustainability of Professional Development School Partnerships" is presented. It explores the function of professional development school (PDS) for teachers and students, the Standards for PDS as prescribed by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the No child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation. It highlights the eight methods of education research including arts-based, historical and philosophic and the developmental research approach and levels.
