The article shares the accomplishments of Hans Simmel, a pathologist and a professor of medicine in Jena, Germany. It cites the creation of Simmel's "Lebenserinnerungen," which detailed the story of his life, including family genealogy, his efforts to learn methods of scientific investigation and to find the scientific basis for medical practice.
