The article presents 10 strategies which will help teachers be successful in the promotion of student learning and major reform issues in the U.S. It states that if teachers feel they must discuss or take a stand on an issue, they must educate themselves about it. It adds that if there is an issue that several colleagues feel strongly about, it is better to discuss it in a group meeting, designate a speaker, and decide what the speaker need to articulate for the group.
