Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of the Seventh World Social Forum (WSF) in Nairobi, Kenya. The context of the forum was the African continent with its history of exploited human and natural resources due to colonialism, neo-colonialism and global capitalism. According to the author, the overwhelming reality of WSF 2007 was that of the resilience and rising power of the various fronts of struggle in a way not seen before in social forum spaces. The possible impact of the forum to the U.S. Social Forum (USSF) is also discussed.
