Strategy and Rhetoric: Microfoundations of Political Action.

Rhetoric is to culture what strategy is to action: a conceptual toolkit that emphasizes observable, micro-level interactions rather than broad structural metaphors. From these small things we can build up to the larger structures and processes that have long fascinated social-movement scholars.
