Abstract
- The article discusses early modern reception to Greek texts. The author states that during the Renaissance, the Greek writers most read were usually post-classical such as Plato and Aristotle. The article also discusses the Renaissance Hellenists, views on Greek poetry by Italian literary scholars, and how Greek texts are promoted in Italy, Ireland, and England.
