Abstract
- This article discusses a study which examined the incidence of coccidiosis in different rabbit keeping systems. The study aimed to determine the infestation levels by Eimeria comparing conventional and alternative rabbit keeping systems with different levels of hygienic control. It conducted sampling in four farms located in the Viterbo province, Italy, which had different levels of hygienic conditions. It concluded that a fair control of hygienic conditions is sufficient to maintain a low level of coccidia.
