Increasing Revenue in the Glaucoma Practice.

The article discusses factors in increasing revenue in a glaucoma practice. Two sets of codes in the Current Procedural Technology (CPT) of the American Medical Assocation (AMA) can be used for patients who remain in the office for a period of time. A list of tips in the use of the CPT codes is presented. The author shares an example of the use of CPT where a patient is evaluated for a painful red eye after being examined by an outside physician.
