Abstract
- The article offers information on the veterinary care of dogs on the Iditarod trail in Alaska. It examines the veterinary care requirements imposed to sled dog race. It is mentioned that medical and logistical challenges remain as primary concern for veterinarians in Alaska. Veterinarians imposed strict care system for sled dog before and after the race.
