Possible Mediators of Connecting Tubule Glomerular Feedback.

This article discusses research into the possible role of arachidonic acid metabolites in the process of connecting tubule glomerular feedback (CTGF) in the renal cortex. The authors found that increasing salt (NaCl) concentrations in the connecting tubule led to the release of prostaglandins and the arachidonic acid form epoxyeicosatrienoic acid, which help to mediate CTGF.
