Abstract
- Chapter 10 of the book "Rethinking Information Work: A Career Guide for Librarians and Other Information Professionals," by G. Kim Dority is presented. It discusses the importance of self-leadership to library and information science (LIS) professionals. The concept is defined as how one approaches a career, how one reacts to circumstances and what one expects of himself. It is said to be based on the concept of locus of control by social learning theorist Julian Rotter.
