Abstract
- The article describes the case of a 41-year-old Caucasian man presented to the ophthalmology emergency room with complaint of decreasing vision in his right eye. Leukocoria of the right eye was shown in the external ocular examination, while diffuse keratic precipitates of the right eye were revealed in the slit-lamp examination. The Western blot analysis for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antibody was positive. Toxoplasmosis and acute retinal necrosis are included in the differential diagnosis of retinitis in patients with AIDS.
