Abstract

The article reports on the outlook of paper prices in the U.S. in 2009. It is expected that 2009 could bring relief for office paper buyers who look to buy fewer tons for the year. The outlook of Fitch Ratings Ltd. on paper for this year states that paper production costs were largely to blame for the pricing spikes in 2008. However, it notes that combined with dropping demands, these costs have begun to decline. INSET: Office furniture another area for cost-reduction.
