Abstract
- The author reflects on the opposition by Sen. Bob Corker to the $34 billion bailout proposal of America's Big Three automakers. He argues that right-wing pundits, such as Corker, see the auto industry's financial crunch as an opportunity for union-busting by asking them to cut jobs and slash the pay of their union workers. Moreover, the author suggests that these pundits should be given Henry Ford bobbleheads and reminded that good wages are the lifeblood of the industry and of the economy.
