CHAPTER 2: Statistical data on Palestinian refugees: What we know and what we don't.

Chapter 2 of the book "Palestinian Refugees: Challenges of Repatriation and Development," by Rex Brynen and Roula El-Rifai is presented. The chapter focuses on statistical data on Palestinian refugees. The author provides an overview of the socio-economic characteristics of refugees in the West Bank and Gaza as well as opinion survey data on refugee attitudes towards a possible resolution of the refugee issue. The critical gaps in the existing statistical information on the refugees and their circumstances are also identified.
