Abstract
- The article focuses on the construction of political and administrative knowledge in France during the Constitutional Monarchy, which is from 1814-1848. It shows that based from the reports of the servants of the State, the formation of political and administrative knowledge derives from three sources, including the statistical tradition characterizing State since Middle Age, and the social surveys that was abundant at this time, specially with the publications of Villermé.
