Abstract
- The article presents a study that described a percutaneous technique to reduce and stabilize the peroneal tendons in their appropriate position posterior to the fibula. According to the article, operative treatment of peroneal tendon dislocation may be deferred until the soft tissue envelope has recovered adequately, which postpones the patient's participation in physical therapy as well as their overall recovery. In the technique described, the patient is positioned either laterally or supine with a bump under the affected hip.
