Abstract
- The article reports that the Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) used by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the U.S. is to be replaced by the Interactive Data Electronic Applications (IDEA) system. Report says, the move was public on August 19, 2008 by SEC Chairman Christopher Cox. Meanwhile, the new database is accordingly based on an absolutely new architecture and will be at first supplement.
