Abstract

The article focuses on the tasks to be accomplished by newly nominated special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) Neil Barofsky in the U.S. For his new position, Barofsky has been designated and warned by the Senate Finance Committee Democrats concerning the need to hold accountable administration officials that were responsible for the revamping of $700 billion financial markets rescue plan. He is further challenged for his ability and authority on the matter.
