Abstract
- This article focuses on Victoria Woodhull, an advocate of women's suffrage in United States. She was born in 1838 in Homer, Ohio to a poor family where she experienced exploitations from her parents at an early age. She married early to a doctor named Canning Woodhull. In 1872, she announced herself as a candidate for president of the United States on the Equal Rights Party. Woodhull's political hopes and aspirations, as well as the challenges she encountered during her time are also explored.
