Abstract

The article discusses the prospects of the restaurant De La Costa making profits amid a deepening economic slump that has people eating out less. The owner of the restaurant, Jay Vohra plucked the Latin-themed restaurant in Chicago, Illinois, out of Bankruptcy Court for $1.6 million. However, now the owner has been logging 16 hour days to ensure a turnaround and plans to stick with the restaurant's original New Latin theme, which made it a hot spot when it opened in 2006.
