Protocols Guide: DECnet and Protocols.

Information on the DECnet protocol suite from the book "Network Protocols Handbook," Fourth Edition, is presented. Developed and supported by Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC), DECnet has several versions that have been released. The original DECnet has allowed the communication between two directly attached minicomputers, while subsequent releases expanded the DECnet functionality by adding support for additional proprietary and standard protocols.
