Abstract

A section of the "Network Protocols Handbook," is presented which discusses the functions of the Frame Relay. It is a WAN protocol fo LAN Internetworking which operates at the physical and data link layer to provide a fast and efficient method of transmitting information to another. It is based on packet-switched technologies similar to x.25. It also enables end stations to share network medium and available bandwidth.
