OBSERVING COMMUNICATION PROCESSES IN THE GROUP DISCUSSION CLASSROOM.

The article focuses on the application of observation systems in speech communication classes. Observational systems under a category system deals with the observer classifying behaviors into one of the categories contained within the system while observational systems in rating scales are about a particular behavior along one or more continua based on the extent to which various features are present or absent. The observational tools discussed are flow chart, the International Process Analysis, and the Feedback Rating Instrument.
