Abstract

The article presents a study on the association between early outcome, health-connected quality of life, and survival after elective open-heart surgery. This research investigated the effect of perioperative complications on patients' health-related quality of life (HRQL) and intermediate-term survival after cardiac surgery. It is identified that perioperative complications had minimal effect on HRQL a year after cardiac surgery.
