Abstract

Section 3, Chapter 4 of the book "Precambrian Geology of Finland: Key to the Evolution of the Fennoscandian Shield," edited by M. Lehtinen, P. A. Nurmi and O. T. Rämö is presented. It offers information on the general characteristics of the Central Lapland greenstone belt. It also discusses the increase of regional metamorphism towards the granitoid complex in the south and Svecofennian granites in the west.
