Chapter 6: Geoparks -- a regional, European and global policy.

Chapter 6 of the book "Geotourism" is presented. It focuses on the development of the European Geopark recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It discusses the challenges resulting from geotourism such as employment, security and incorporation of the conservation measures with environmental protection. It explores the different geoparks which includes the Gerolstein and the Vulkaneifel. An overview of the geoscience transfer is also discussed.
