The article describes the Helicord process for cleaning and coating of welding wire surfaces. The process involves wrapping or looping, under high tension, of constantly renewed and moving cords that are in 360-degree contact with the wire. The application principle is the development of friction force between a fast running wire and a slow moving textile cord.
