Abstract
- The article focuses on the advent of Buddhism in Tibet. The reason of the Tibet rulers is cited for bringing Buddhism into the country. The stay of Indian scholar, Santiraksita in Tibet at the invitation of King Trisongdetsen is described along with that of Indian master, Padmasambhava. The difference between the two is mentioned including the practice of Vajrayana, or tantra by Padmasambhava.
