Abstract
- The article reports on the need of tougher guidelines on risk assessments for historic structures in Great Britain. Paul Scott, director of fire and risk engineering at Faber Maunsell, stresses that tougher guidelines should exist to ensure that risk assessors used in historic structures are suitably competent. It notes that risk assessment should be done with someone who is competent enough and can take into account the replaceability and historic nature of the building.
