Abstract
- The article analyzes the concept of decentralization in Europe since 1945, and the fact that the island of Corsica, France, has not been granted regional legislative powers, contrary to other regions of the western Mediterranean. The article states that the predominant political culture in Corsica is based on institutional management and that it might not change in the short term, despite the minority support given to nationalists trying to gain power.
