Abstract
- The article features the attribution of the oil painting "Young Girl in Black" found at The Art Museum in Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. Experts found that the painting is applied thinly in oil, on a very fine, plain woven cotton fabric and tacked to a four-member strainer. In 1992, Nancy F. Markus restored the painting by tacking it to a new keyed stretcher wherein she removed the thin, discolored varnish and replaced with a brush coat of acrylic resin in solvent.
