Ten Years of the Proteome.

The concept of the proteome is now over 10 years old. As with all anniversaries, it is a good time to look back and reflect on what has been achieved in the area that we now call proteomics. What has been done well? What has been done not-so-well? What has been achieved, and what still eludes us?
