Consigning carbon to captivity?

The article reports on the strategic planning by the Yorkshire Forward (YF) on the use of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) through the establishment of the Carbon Capture and Storage Partnership for Yorkshire and the Humber in England. It states that the partnership is a working group made up of representatives of the big CO₂ emitters in the region and operators of the oil and gas fields in the southern North Sea. The initial feasibility study of the plans for the network strengthens the case for investment in CCS by a group of companies which run plants.
