Abstract

The article reports on the survey in dimensions of safety climate among Japanese nurses. Five factors were extracted as a result of exploratory factor analysis namely, intellectual development regarding medical safety among nurses, accumulated fatigue, nursing conditions, attitude of supervisors, and communication with physicians. The value of the Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) was 0.868, Comparative Fit Index (CFI) was 0.943 and the Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) was 0.062.
