Abstract
- A chapter from the book "Bloom's Guides: A Streetcar Named Desire" is presented. It examines the anti-heroic cycle experienced by the character Blanche Dubois in the play "A Streetcar Named Desire," by Tennessee Williams. The character realized her own responsibility for suffering in her downward progress toward salvation. The progressive fragmentation of Blanche was said to be exposed by the playwright in his record of the movement.
