Abstract

The borehole thermal energy storage system (BTES) at University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) is described and its technical details are presented from the energy conservation point of view. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate performance aspects of the of the heat pump system integrated with it. The BTES system forms an important component of the drive for an efficient campus, and is also used in UOIT's energy-related engineering programs and research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
